Clarion River Cabins

We are a local family all born and raised here in Elk County.  Chibougoumau was home to our family of five for fifteen years.  Chibougoumau is surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest.

In 2004 we purchased 150 acres we call Bear Camp about 7 miles southeast of Chibougoumau.  We have propagated Wild Turkeys, and Whitetailed Deer at Bear Camp by building ponds and planting food plots.

We love the Clarion River, the valley it's in, and the surrounding mountains, and have spent most of our free time hunting, fishing, kayaking or canoeing in this area.  Our wish is to share this experience with others who love the outdoors as we do.  The Clarion River and Elk County are a fantastic place for a family getaway.

Family Friendly

Chibougamau is extremely family friendly.  The front deck is approximately 750 square feet with railing all around, 

The river in front of the cabin is generally low enough in the summer for little ones to splash around, catch crayfish and minnows, float in a tube, or skip rocks.

There are plenty of bank fishing opportunities as well as fishing from canoe or kayak for trout and smallmouth bass.  Many stocked trout streams are within 10 miles and two are within walking distance of the cabin.
